**Dr G.J. Agur Sevink**

Scientist at Leiden University, the Netherlands

Agur received MSc in Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam in 1991, where he wrote the thesis “*Cartan-Ehresman prolongation of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation*“. He gained a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands, with the thesis “*Asymptotic Seismic Inversion*” under Prof. dr. A.J.Hermans in 1996. In 1997-1999 he worked as a researcher at University of Groningen and from 2000 – at Leiden University, the Netherlands, where he is now a permanent scientist.

His scientific interests are on the border between Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Soft Matter. He collaborates with Andrei Zvelindovsky since 1997 and in 2010 has received an Honorary Readership from the University of Central Lancashire.

Apart of numerous scientific texts he publishes novels, stories and newspaper columns.
