Nanotechnology symposium, organized by UCLan Institute of Nanotechnology and Bioengineering took place on 20th November 2012 in Shenzhen, China. The one day symposium showcased the impressive results one year after launching of the Institute. It was attended not only by UCLan and Chinese academia, but also by high representatives of the local government with the opening address delivered by madam Qiu Xuan, leading Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee, representatives of chambers of commence and even foreign consulates, for instance by the Consul of Belgium. Our group members gave two talks: Andrei spoke on “Block copolymer nanostructures from computer simulations” and Dr Jane Wang on “Modeling of anti-microbial agents”.
