Fiona visited London in June to attend the Institute of Physics ‘Theory meets Experiment: molecular nanoscience and applications’ conference at UCL. The conference was 3 days long and encompassed a variety of presentations and posters from a mix of experimentalists and theoreticians. People had come from all over the world to attend – Israel, India, Switzerland, Australia to name a few, and with a variety of experience from Masters students to Professors. The social times were filled with discussion as people met with colleagues and made new connections. On Tuesday we had an excursion on an old red London Routemaster bus to the London Eye where we were able to take in the impressive London skyline.
