From Tuesday 8th to Thursday 10th of September, Bart and Martin attended the Institute of Physics conference Physical Aspects of Polymer Science.  Both gave talks on recent results, with Bart reporting on field-theoretic simulations of diblock copolymers and Martin presenting calculations on disk-like bicelles.

A number of speakers paid tribute to Professor Sir Sam Edwards (1928-2015), one of the founders of modern polymer science, and it was striking how much of the new work presented at the conference drew on his ideas.
