From July 13th to July 15th 2016 Fabien Paillusson participated to a satellite meeting of StatPhys 2016 on jamming and granular matter, held at Queen Mary University. Owing to variety and quality of the participants, the workshop was a great success and some major developments in the field (e.g. regarding Edwards’ flat measure hypothesis) have been announced for the first time during this meeting. During this workshop, Fabien presented a poster “How can we test ergodicity in absence of a prior distribution?” on a general method he has developed to assess ergodicity for any system regardless of the underlying dynamics or statistical features (at thermodynamic equilibrium or not).
