On 29th February, Claire travelled to Denver, Colorado for the much anticipated APS March meeting. American Physical Society annual meetings are attended by thousands of physicists, scientists, and journalists from around the world. They offer valuable opportunities for presenting research, sharing insights, and networking.
Unfortunately, due to rapidly escalating health concerns relating to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the meeting was CANCELLED! However, a number of spontaneous initiatives by individuals and small groups of researchers, enabled the sharing of research that would have been presented. Check out the Virtual APS March Meeting website for a broad range of FREE science talks prepared for the meeting.
