Results from a student project carried out in the School of Mathematics and Physics and funded by the university’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities (UROS) scheme have been published in a scientific journal. Henry Macpherson, an MPhys student, worked on a model of the structures formed by polymers (long, chain-like molecules) in water, and his results help to understand experiments from the University of Sheffield.
