Helen Willcock (Loughborough) and Martin Greenall (Lincoln) have secured funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for the project ‘Core Exposure in Responsive Polymer Systems’. The aim of the project is to find the conditions under which the core of a polymer particle in solution becomes exposed, a question that is important in applications including drug delivery and oil recovery. The grant will fund two research associates in Loughborough and academic staff costs in both universities.
