Roberta is originally from Villaperuccio (CA), Sardinia, Italy. She attended  University of Cagliari and graduated with a Laurea in Electronic Engineering in 2010. She wrote a Laurea thesis on “Atomistic study of the structural properties of nano hybrid systems for photovoltaic application” under the supervision of Professor Luciano Colombo, Dr. Alessandro Mattoni and Dr. Claudio Melis.

In January 2011 Roberta started her PhD project in our group on block copolymer systems at the University of Central Lancashire, UK.

For the final year of her Ph. D. studies she joined the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Lincoln, UK.
